"Knights of Sidonia" is an animated work by Japanese manga artist Tsutomu Nihei. The theatrical version of the work directed by Shizuno Kofumi was released on March 6. As of last weekend, the box office revenue of this work in 27 cinemas across Japan reached about 47 million yen. In the last two days of last weekend, the box office revenue of this work reached about 10 million yen, ranking first in the Kogyo Tsunsha ranking.

Originally, the theatrical version of "Knights of Sidonia" was a limited-edition work that was only shown for two weeks.
