CATDOLL: "Girls' Number" novel and comics released simultaneously, animation to be aired in October

The new idol voice actor-themed work "Girls' Number" written by the author of "My Teen Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected" Watari will release the first volume of the novel and comic book on July 27, and the TV animation will also be broadcast in October. However, the official content description specifically mentioned that the contents of the novel and comic versions are only prequels to the TV animation version that will be broadcast in October. It seems that the lines of the heroine Karasuma Chitose in the comics, in which she complains about the dark side of the voice actor industry, will not be broadcast in the TV animation.

The novel "Girls' Number" tells the story of a female college student, Chitose Karasuma, who devotes herself to the voice actor industry with her dreams and ambitions. As a result, she faces fierce competition and harsh reality. It has been confirmed that the voice actor of the novel, which will be adapted into an animation, is Senbongi Ayaka (the unnamed voice actor in Kabutoshi of the Iron Fortress). The voice actors of the other two heroines are Honto Kaede and Ishikawa Yui. In addition, Suzuki Eri, Onishi Saori, Umehara Yuichiro, and Nakai Kazuya will also join the voice actor lineup of this work. In the content of the comic version, the heroine Chitose Karasuma fiercely complained about the dark side of the voice actor industry, where idol voice actors are affectionate on the surface but extremely cold in private. She even made the heroine Chitose complain that the practitioners in the voice actor industry have problems in their brains. Voice actors show a false self to others and become famous by deceiving others. Chitose Karasuma was also portrayed by Wataru as a great teacher in the voice actor industry. However, this time the official explanation of the plot of the novel and comic is actually a prequel to the plot of the animation version. Naturally, it is a pity that such sharp complaints cannot be heard in the animation version.
