CATDOLL: Chibi Maruko turns into a cat, "Cherry Cat Maruko" will be released in the fall of 2016

"Chibi Maruko-chan", which is still a national animation in Japan, celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016. To commemorate the 30th anniversary, the Japanese animation company that holds the copyright of Maruko-chan announced a new design series "Chibi Meow Maruko-chan". The popular characters in "Chibi Maruko-chan" are designed as unique cats.

"Chibi Maruko-chan" is centered on the second daughter of the Sakura family, Sakura Momoko, who is known as "Chibi Maruko". It depicts her happy, interesting, and sometimes sad daily life with her family and friends. The TV animation was broadcast in 1990, with an average audience rating of over 15%, and the highest rating reached 39.9%.

This time, "Cherry Meow Maruko" is a series different from the previous ones. It is a series born from the 751st episode of the animation "Chibi Maruko Wants to Be a Cat". Meow Maruko, Meowtama, Hanazawa, Noguchi, Nagase, Konagisa, and Maruo are drawn in a fictional cat world.

In order to let everyone experience the world view of "Chibi Maruko-chan" more closely, as a link to the animation broadcast every Sunday at 18:00 on the FNS series channel, "character peripherals" will be sold. The prototype cats dressed as each character will also appear as their good friends, so adult women who like cats can also pay attention.
