CATDOLL: The "Sword Art Online" research course at a Japanese university will be reopened this year!

Masahiro Hirose, an associate professor at Nihon University and a lecturer at many universities, caused quite a stir last year when he opened a course called "Chinese Literature Lectures" at Aichi University of Education, and used the light novel "Sword Art Online" as a textbook. In the latest course schedule published by Aichi University of Education this year, it was discovered that this course is still available! With such a relaxing textbook and such a lively class, I really want to go to school~~

Anyone who sees a light novel with the three big words "textbook" on it would find it strange.

Masahiro Hirose is a scholar who studies music, literature, and animation. He has served as a commentator at fan meetings for "K-ON!" and "Puella Magi Madoka Magica." Last year, the "Chinese Literature Lecture Notes" offered at Aichi University of Education listed "Sword Art Online" as a textbook, which caused a sensation when bookstores put the three big words "Textbook" on the cover of the light novel. Aichi University of Education has just announced the new semester's course schedule, and Chinese literature lecture notes will continue to be offered!

Mr. Hirose, who has a serious face, seems a little different from what you imagined... He is Masahiro Hirose, an associate professor at Japan's Sugiyama Jogakuen University.

This course uses "Sword Art Online" as a textbook to explain how the information society affects human life. This is not the first time that Hirose Masaki has incorporated animation into the course, as can be seen from the titles of his past papers...

"Contact with Hatsune Miku". It tells the definition and application of the voice and form of the "electronic diva".

"Falling in Love with a Non-Human". The story of love between a human and a non-human is based on the 2013 anime adaptation of the raccoon novel "The Utaten Family".

The reality of a conversation with an air friend. The definition of friends from "I Have Few Friends".

Except for "Sword Art Online", any of the above papers is very interesting. In fact, there are a lot of positive meanings and scientific knowledge in anime works. If our teachers can learn to use anime works as examples, there will probably be fewer people skipping classes, and they can also guide students to watch anime works correctly.
