It turns out that this is a collaboration between Modern Weapons magazine and domestic illustrator November☆. The latter and his friends previously drew a fanzine about American warships, Pacific, which was mainly based on the American warships in the Pacific War. The first volume has been released, and the second volume is in production. The theme of this issue of the magazine is to introduce the last class of battleships in the Pacific War, the Iowa-class battleships, so the two sides had this collaboration. Not only is the cover of this Chinese artist's illustration, but the inside pages also have other works of the author, and introduce his creative team.

Regarding the bold use of the avant-garde cute and feminine warship illustrations in Modern Weapons, some netizens fiercely expressed that it was "vulgar and self-destructive", and believed that it blurred the boundaries between military magazines and anime magazines. However, many netizens were happy to see it happen and said that they must buy this issue of the magazine.
