CATDOLL: The Smurfs: The Magic Reboot will be released on March 31, 2017

The movie "The Smurfs" is adapted from the comic and animation of the same name by Belgian cartoonist Payot. In this movie, the evil Gargamel breaks into the elf village under the guidance of Clumsy. While avoiding Gargamel, the Smurfs were teleported to New York's Central Park through the vortex of the blue moon. Here, on the one hand, they have to return to their mushroom village before Gargamel and Azrael find them. On the other hand, they are only three apples tall and have to embark on an adventure in the Big Apple City of New York.

It was rainy and cloudy in Mexico on June 14th, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of fans who were looking forward to the latest "Smurfs" movie "Super Smurfs: Reboot". On the occasion of "Global Smurfs Day" on June 15th, Sony brought us the latest news about the naming and dubbing lineup of "Reboot" at the "Sony Summer" event in Cancun.

Director Kelly Asbury announced that the latest "Smurfs" movie is officially named "Get Smurfy". He also introduced three new cast members through a video: Demi Lovato will voice Smurfette; Mandy Patinkin will voice Papa Smurf; and Rainn Wilson will voice the villain Gargamel.

The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2, which were released in 2011 and 2013 respectively, grossed a total of $910 million worldwide. This time, The Smurfs: Reborn completely changes the way the previous two films were shot, which were live-action and CG animations. It will be completely drawn by computer and presented as a pure animation film, which is expected to reproduce the simplest and retro style of the "Father of the Smurfs" Peyo drew fifty years ago. In the first production special released, the villain "Gargamel", who appeared in the movie for the first time as an animated character, was extremely excited. Rainn Wilson was so into the role that he insisted that he was not dubbing a "Smurfs" movie, but a "Gargamel" movie.

The film, directed by Kelly Asbury, the director of Shrek the Monsters, is expected to be released in March 2017. Mtime will continue to bring you more news about the film, and more blockbuster news will be revealed at the "Sony Summer" event.
