CATDOLL: "Paradise Chasing" tells the story of a fighting girl and a wild uncle chasing freedom

The Earth has become a ruin after the "Nano Riot". In the year 2400, most humans have transferred their intelligence to the computer world, which is equivalent to starting a new life in the computer world. Angela, an investigator who also lives in the computer world, arrives at the surface of the real world for the first time in a high-combat capability outfit. Then, together with Diego, an investigator on the ground, they begin their adventure in this desolate world.

1. Incredible World (Background)

It is 2400 AD. Humans who have experienced the nano crisis no longer live on the ground. In the starry sky, filamentary objects are orbiting like satellites. Dava has become a paradise for humans to continue to live. Unlike on the ground, humans are no longer bound by the flesh, free from illness and death. Their consciousness is combined with the Internet, and their perception is infinitely expanded. Online entertainment and communication bring infinite pleasure to the spirit. For hundreds of years, the unfulfilled dreams of mankind have been realized countless times here. It seems that just like the official propaganda, humans have already created their own "paradise". But, is this the only truth?

I turned my gaze to the ground. Unlike the prosperous Dava at this time, the earth at this time was already devastated and silent. The azure ocean and green land had long disappeared. Under the azure sky, sand dunes were crisscrossed and quicksand was surging. The choking smell went straight into my nostrils. In the distance, a team of vehicles came and searched for sandworms on the sand. These mutated giant insects have become the staple food of the humans who remain on the ground. Silence, silence, as if there is no breath of life. Looking down at the surface, in the yellow sand, there are scattered ruins of some towns. Those high-rise buildings hint at the development of human civilization on the ground. Now, everything has returned to silence.

The author sets the story in a bizarre but logical setting, showing the possibility of human survival in the future world. "I don't know what weapons will be used in the Third World War, but I know that the Fourth World War will be fought with spears and stones." (Einstein) The nano crisis has promoted the transformation of mankind and destroyed everything on the ground. Humans have to flee. The contradiction between man and technology is already looming here.

The story has begun.

2. Mission, dispatch (curtain opens, protagonist 1 appears)

Angela Balzac is enjoying the beach scenery. As an agent of the Dava Security Bureau, it is a rare vacation for her. But there is no sign of relaxation on her face, and she is just staring into the distance. Recently, Dava has been frequently attacked by FS. The senior management of the Security Bureau hates this, but they can do nothing about it. In their eyes, danger is just around the corner. Now, it seems that she also feels the seriousness of the situation. Because the place where she is is being attacked. The picture appeared in the distant sky as if it was torn apart. Then a voice like an advertisement came. Angela responded. ... A few minutes later, the invasion ended. Afterwards, Angela was summoned to the office. "It has been found that the target is from the ground, so we need you to find out the truth" "Understand". In this way, a journey begins.

Here, on a peaceful beach with beautiful scenery, the protagonist does not seem to show her uniqueness in the crowd. But the conversation and calm words of others have hinted at her unusualness. Then Angela's quick response to the incident, the gorgeous background, the agile movements, and the contrast between before and after bring the protagonist's capable and conscientious image to life on paper.

3. Tracking, Ground (Protagonist 2 Appears, Development)

Dingo has a deep voice and sharp eyes. He looks like a cowboy in the American West. He is classical and unpretentious, a combination of nature and wildness. The belief in freedom is completely released in him. Angela is different. Her tight combat uniform and practical but amazing equipment are full of modern atmosphere. They are miracles created by industrial civilization. The combination of the two is a collision and fusion of nature and human beings, industry and agriculture, modernity and primitiveness, which further exaggerates the atmosphere of the movie. Of course, the director naturally cannot let the protagonists appear alone. Borrowing Dingo's not very decent purpose, a unique "insect killing war" was launched.

When the huge sandworms come in huge numbers, even the sophisticated instrument AHN cannot easily destroy them. Machines bring us unlimited convenience, but we cannot rely too much on them. Precision, processing power, and experience are always testing machines, and are also torturing our hearts that are increasingly surrounded by machines. A gunshot. A sandworm fell down after its brain was shattered. In the distance, wisps of smoke were coming out of the muzzle of the Dingo shotgun. Angela seemed to understand, and used the machine to calculate and aim at the head of the sandworm. In an instant, the great power of the machine was revealed. Under the correct guidance of humans, the machine has accomplished things that humans cannot accomplish. Machines need humans, and similarly, humans cannot do without machines. But what if the machine has human wisdom?

Following Dingo's advice, the two decided to approach the most likely place for FS to appear - Jedo City. Interestingly, compared with Dingo's meticulous thinking, Angela was obviously a little overwhelmed. In this part, the difference in style between the two protagonists is clearly revealed through the comparison of the two in handling things. This difference lays a good foundation for the subsequent development of events.

The city of Jedo has long lost its previous civilized atmosphere. Instead, there are almost primitive streets and primitive businesses. The difference is that the abandoned high-rise buildings in the distance are slightly abrupt in the sun. There are still many people on the street, coming and going. Chinese-style snack bars can be seen everywhere. The public security is not optimistic. Everything seems to have returned to the undeveloped American West, primitive and rough. In such an environment, the two discuss the next plan. The desolate and weird scene makes the facts more confusing and also makes the movie itself mysterious.

In this part, the characterization is successful. The collision of the two characters is wonderful. Originally, they thought that a big battle was going to happen, just like the protagonist in the movie, but it turned out not to be the case. Mr. FS talked to them in a friendly manner and took them on a tour of the base without them being on guard. Under the dim, flickering lights, he told the two of them everything he was going to do.

Before the Nano Crisis, various countries launched the Genesis Ark plan to solve population and environmental crises. However, humans had already immigrated before this day came. The plan was forced to be terminated. 114 years ago, FS, as a control system, developed self-awareness due to the phenomenon of "interfering with the circuit and activating the processing power of the processor". And decided to continue the exploration plan. Without external assistance, relying on its own powerful ability, it alone carried out the dream of mankind-exploring the universe.

And humans still know nothing about these things.

"Then why did you invade Dava?" "Just to recruit companions." FS and others walked out of the tunnel, and in front of them was a huge cylindrical object. Such a huge project was just a miracle created by a robot that gained consciousness through self-evolution, and in fact it was still working hard to realize the dream of mankind. Even at the cost of illegally invading Dava. Although this was against the law, FS had nothing to do with Dava after all, and could not really threaten Dava. In this way, all the barriers were melted.

Dream, this noun full of fantasy, carries too many ideals and hopes. It also contains so much abandonment and betrayal. What moved us about FS is the pursuit of the most original, most ardent desire at the beginning of his life. When humans were on the ground, he pursued. During the nano crisis, he pursued. five. To escape, to chase (climax)

Knowing the secret of FS and being treated so friendly, it is impossible for them to have too much hostility. Angela intends to inform the upper level of the matter. However, as the saying goes, "good things take time". The upper level disagrees with Angela and decides to destroy these wild AIs to maintain Dava's absolute status. Even if it is just a harmless descendant of humans who want to fulfill their dreams. Here, the author fully shows the bad side of human nature. In order to improve their so-called "sense of security", they are willing to destroy other things that may be identified as threats. This is an unhealthy psychological state. It also indirectly reflects the real lack of security in the hearts of humans in the "paradise". A world of impetuousness, anxiety, and fear. In the vast universe, humans are just a dot.

Angela would not compromise with them because of her temper. Her experience as a third-class officer had already shaped her character. But what greeted her was unfair treatment. Imprisonment and deprivation of civil rights. Well, the so-called paradise also has such a dark side.

Of course, the matter is far from over. Dava has taken action against FS based on the address provided by Angela. At this time, there is still about an hour before the launch of FS's engine device. FS can't understand why Angela would defend herself and endure the unjust imprisonment. "She just likes you so much." "Maybe this is, benevolence." Dingo said. FS decided to rescue Angela because of "benevolence".

The plan began.

First, FS continued to invade Dava to attract attention and recruit volunteers for the last time, while contacting Angela to start the escape journey. The ruthless Dava has forced an outstanding person into a desperate situation.

Using the powerful computing power of FS, Angela returned smoothly and brought back Dava's advanced weapons, weakening Dava's power. Afterwards, in order to realize FS's dream, Dingo and Angela fought fiercely with the troops that followed one after another, and a game began. The smoke was filled with gunpowder, the machinery roared, the metal collided with the metal, and the wisdom competed with wisdom. Attack, defense, breakthrough, pursuit. The dazzling scenes fully displayed the horror and game of war.

Delay, delay, stand up even if you are covered in wounds. Resist, resist, just for the original dream of mankind to finally bloom.

"Dingo, Angela, I'm going to go then." Smoke billowed behind them, and there were bursts of noise. The rocket rose into the sky under the huge thrust. The Ark of Origin was already there, quietly guarding.

Faced with disaster, humans chose to escape, leaving behind a desolate world. This is beyond reproach. Living in this paradise, the original ambition has been replaced by an increasingly peaceful life, which is also natural. But when the empty heart is completely magnified for no reason, and is only immersed in the paradise created by oneself, facing the past, surrounded by fears that come from nowhere, one will only destroy and destroy blindly to maintain one's superior status. The darkness of human nature is infinitely magnified in this almost absurd world. There is no democracy inside Dava, information is closed and conservative, and there is no benevolence and justice, which is far from the ideal "paradise". Paradise is not a real paradise, and escape and exile have become inevitable.

7. Reflections on Paradise

Dava, this almost absurd world, the Internet replaces the flesh, and perception is infinitely expanded. It seems like a god-like existence. Here, the quality of human life depends on how much memory is obtained. In order to survive, we must move forward. Dingo's words are thought-provoking. "In Dava, what you can get and what you can do are all determined by society. You always have to look at other people's faces. If you are not praised or spoiled, you can't even live a good life. How can such a life be free?" I have always thought that the prototype of Dava is our current world. In this world, there are true and false, sunshine and darkness. It can never be called a "paradise". As long as there is a trace of darkness, it cannot be called a "paradise". There is no real paradise in the world.

The awakening of human consciousness is destined to be exiled from the Garden of Eden. In Paradise, it seems to be a world of humans that have not yet awakened. There is tyranny, hierarchy, no freedom, and no self. The title "Expelled from Paradise" can be translated as "Exile from Paradise", which is taken from the Bible. The exile of Adam and Eve is the awakening of human consciousness, and it is inevitable to resist this distorted world. Angela's defection and Dingo's refusal to join Dava are true portrayals of the pursuit of freedom and happiness.

The conflicts between humans and machines, machines and machines, and humans and humans in the movie run through the film, which actually reveals the essence of human life: living.
