CATDOLL: Chinese primary and secondary school students draw all Japanese comic characters and are criticized by Japanese cartoonists

When you were in primary and secondary school, did you like to doodle casually on your notebook or spend time to carefully complete a beautiful painting? If you were asked to draw a character, what would you think of first? Is it the character in your favorite animation? Or your relatives and friends around you?

Recently, some paintings displayed in a movie theater in Shenzhen were seen and photographed by Jun Inoue, the author of the Japanese manga "Chinese Wedding Diary"; but these paintings are almost all characters from Japanese comics, and the style is obviously the work of primary and secondary school students, which makes me feel very emotional. There are very few domestic animation/comics or other types of works in it. In fact, this matter is nothing if you don't think about it too much. The premise is that these paintings are all completed by Chinese children.

This photo also caused heated discussion after being seen by Japanese netizens:

"I suddenly understand why the Chinese government wants to restrict Japanese comics. Otherwise, Chinese animation will have no room to survive."

"This style of painting is great. I think Chinese children will be able to create works that are not inferior to Japanese comics in the future..."

"Hmm... some of the works here... are they really okay for primary and secondary school students to watch..."

“I guess it’s because the pollution is so severe that I can only paint at home.”
