The TV animation "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" adapted from the manga about the traditional Japanese culture of Rakugo has been confirmed to be broadcast on MBS TV in January 2016. Recently, the official first promotional PV of this work was released, and the details of the theme song were also released. It is reported that the theme song of this work will be sung by Hayashibara Megumi, and the lyrics and music will be composed by Shiina Ringo. This is the first time that the two queens of the animation music industry have collaborated!

"Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" is a manga by Japanese manga artist Kumota Haruko. The TV animation takes place during the Showa and Genroku periods, and mainly describes the complex interpersonal relationships of storytellers (rakugoka). Characters full of personality will appear in this work, including the aloof daimyo Yakumo, Yotaro who insists on becoming his apprentice, and Koharu, the posthumous child of Sukeroku, an ally of Yakumo, who is known as the "unparalleled daimyo".
