CATDOLL: "March Comes in like a Lion" animation decided to be directed by Akiyuki Shinbo

Another work by Chika Umino, the author of Honey Clover, March Comes in like a Lion, is confirmed to be adapted into a TV animation. Currently, part of the production staff has been announced. The director of this work will be Akiyuki Shinbo, who previously directed the Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Monogatari series, and the animation production will be handed over to SHAFT. The animation will be broadcast on NHK. The specific broadcast time has not yet been announced.

"March Comes in like a Lion" is a shogi manga. The protagonist of this work is a 17-year-old professional shogi player Kiriyama Rei. When Rei was young, he lost his parents and sister in a traffic accident, and his heart was deeply hurt. In front of the lonely Rei, the appearance of the three sisters Akari, Hinata, and Momo made him feel the warmth of the world.
