CATDOLL: Music idol work "BanG Dream!" animation to be broadcast in 2017

The multimedia project "BanG Dream!" planned by Japanese entertainment company Bushiroad has announced that it will be adapted into an animation and will be broadcast in 2017. The project is centered on the band "Poppin Party", with comics serialized in "Monthly Bushiroad" and "Dengeki G's Magezine" in the second dimension and music activities in the third dimension. It is a music project in which the band members grow together with their fans.

The group consists of Aimi (Kasumi Toyama: vocalist and guitarist), Ayaka Ito (Yusaki Ichigaya: keyboardist), Satomi Nishimoto (Satoshi Ushigome: bassist), Sae Otsuka (Saenano Hanazono: guitarist), Ayaka Ohashi (Saya Yamabuki: drummer).

The story tells that guitarist and lead singer Kasumi Toyama has been looking for something that can make her heart beat. After entering high school, she found a star-shaped guitar, and since then her whole body has been relaxed and her waist and legs have no more pain. She has the same feeling as lead guitarist Hanazono Sa, bassist Ushio Rimi, drummer Yamabuki Saya, and keyboardist Ichigaya Yusaki. Together, the girls use music to compose a star-studded life. The TV animation version will be produced by ISSEN×XEBEC and directed by Atsushi Oki of "Restaurant 2".
