CATDOLL: Doraemon, Yo-kai Watch, and Idol Activities all won AMD Outstanding Works Award

The annual "AMD Award" awarded by the Japan Digital Media Association was announced today. There are a total of 9 winning works, including "STAND BY ME Doraemon", which was a huge success last year. The reason for the award is that it uses 3DCG technology to well express the world view of the original work without any sense of disobedience. In addition, the children's works "Idol Activity!" and "Yo-kai Watch", which are very popular in Japan, also won the award. The reason is that these two works have successfully combined animation programs with the digital industry and the toy industry.

One of the characteristics of the "AMD Award" is its evaluation system that integrates content, service and technology, so many conceptual works will also be shortlisted. The 9 works selected this time will be awarded at the award ceremony held on March 16, 2015.

"Idolmaster!" is indeed a well-run production, and I hope that its future success will be as great as "Yo-kai Watch."
