After nearly four months of waiting, Comcast Group finally completed the acquisition of DreamWorks Animation for $3.8 billion. After that, DreamWorks will be affiliated with Universal Film and Entertainment Group under NBC Universal. After that, DreamWorks will be officially delisted from NASDAQ, ending its 12-year history as an independent company. Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO and co-founder of DreamWorks Animation, will become chairman of DreamWorks New Media and concurrently serve as an advisor to NBC Universal. After the acquisition was officially completed, Jeffrey Katzenberg also sent a memo to all employees of DreamWorks Animation, thanking them for their work over the past 22 years and expressing high hopes for the future of DreamWorks. |
