This animation is a special project to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Fujio Akatsuka's birth. The manga of the same name began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1962. The voice actor of the head of the Osomatsu family and the character designs of other characters have been announced. The head of the Osomatsu family will be played by Takahiro Sakurai, who has played roles such as Suzaku Kururugi in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Sasori in Naruto, Claude Faust in Black Butler, Claude Strife in Final Fantasy VII, Meme Oshino in Monogatari Series, Shumu in Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Shu Matsuyuki in The Flower We Saw That Day, Shirokuma in White Bear Cafe, and Izumo Kusanagi in K.
