The animated theatrical version of "Miss HOKUSAI -Miss HOKUSAI-" adapted from the manga "Miss HOKUSAI" by Sugiura Hinatako has recently announced the name of the adapted animation and the release date of May 2015. "Miss HOKUSAI" is a historical manga series written by Sugiura Hinatako, which was serialized in the magazine "Manga SUNDAY" from 1983 to 1987. In 2014, it was announced that it would be adapted into an animated film the following year. The film will be released all over Japan in May this year. Director Keiichi Hara, who has successfully directed well-known theatrical animation works such as "My Summer Vacation with Kappa" and "Colorful", is in charge of the supervision of "Miss HOKUSAI". The animation production is handled by the industry's major company Production IG . The voice actor for the heroine in the play is the popular Japanese artist "Apricot".
