There is new news about the TV animation "GATE Fantasy Self-Defense Force" which will be aired on July 3! This time the official brought us the latest information including character design, additional voice actors, new promotional images, etc. Since the decision to make an animation last year, this series of novels written by Yanagiuchi Takumi has attracted the attention of countless fans.

In the new promotional image, the protagonist and his companions are looking to the right as if they are looking into the distance, as if they are paying attention to some wonderful scene. The expressions of each character are vivid, which can be said to show the personality of the character. The main character design images that were exposed at the same time further show the characteristics of these characters. I believe that many people can determine which character they like just by looking at the settings, right?

As for the additional voice actors, Pia K. Lada is voiced by Haruka Tomatsu (Lala Satalin Deviluke in To Love-Ru, Asuna Yuuki in Sword Art Online, etc.), Yao Ha Deussi is voiced by Yoko Hikasa (Erica Blountrey in God Slayer, Emi Yusa in Let Me Work! Demon Lord, etc.), Kuribayashi Shino is voiced by Maaya Uchida (Reiya Sanka, Rikka Takanashi in Chuunibyou ga Kotori), Tomita Akira is voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto (Chadori Yasuto in Bleach, Agni in Black Butler), and Kurata Takeo is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (Harutora Tsuchimikado in Tokyo Ravens, Fumi Kihara in A Calm Tomorrow, etc.).

In terms of additional production staff, well-known industry figures including Yuji Hosokoshi, Yu Aoki, Takahiro Mogi, and Maho Takahashi will join the production of this work.

"GATE Fantasy Self-Defense Force" was originally just a novel serialized online by Takumi Yanagiuchi. After being loved by netizens, it was officially published in April 2010. The cumulative circulation has now exceeded 1.5 million copies. It tells an entertaining fantasy story about the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force using modern weapons to fight in a different world. In the work, in 20XX, the "Gate to Another World" suddenly opened in Ginza, Tokyo, and armies and monsters from the "other world" appeared inside. The Ground Self-Defense Force repelled the enemy and was sent to the "special area" behind the gate to investigate. Second Lieutenant Itami Yoshiji, an otaku self-defense officer who served as the commander of the third reconnaissance team, helped the village attacked by a giant fire dragon, and started a wonderful exchange with beautiful girls from other worlds such as fairies, magicians, and gods...
