According to Japan's Sankei Shimbun, Japanese content product agent "Chuanghe Group" is working on bringing Japanese authentic comics to Xiaomi mobile phones, and this plan may be realized as early as early next year. Japanese content product agency and production company CREEK&RIVER will provide Japanese comics for Xiaomi's smartphones. It is expected that Xiaomi will install comic reading software on smartphones to be delivered as early as early next year. Chuanghe Group is currently negotiating with several Japanese publishers on which comic works to provide. This will be the first time a Japanese company has attempted to provide comic works to Xiaomi phones. In October this year, Chuanghe Group and Dragon Entertainment (Hong Kong), which is engaged in the film business in China, jointly established a joint venture in Hong Kong with a registered capital of approximately 20 million yen, with Dragon contributing 51%. The joint venture will be responsible for translating relevant comic works, digitally editing the works in accordance with local laws and customs, and providing finished products to Xiaomi. Chuanghe Group is responsible for representing comic works and obtaining publishing licenses in China, and "Dragon" is responsible for system operations and fundraising in China. The two companies are also considering bringing Japanese comic works to Chinese screens in the future. via: TechWeb |
