The live-action version of "Chibi Maruko-chan", one of the most well-known and influential anime works in the world, will premiere in Taiwan this year. In addition, according to Jiro Wang, who plays "Hanawa" at the end of the show, the actors of each role in the show were personally selected by the author himself! Newcomer Lin Xinlei plays Maruko-chan. Other starring actors include Yin Fu, Wei Man, Lin Youwei, Zeng Yunrou, etc.

The story of "Chibi Maruko-chan" revolves around Maruko, her family and classmates. The protagonist Maruko is a lively third-grade elementary school student. Her family of six lives in an ordinary town. She has a father who likes to drink beer and watch TV, a mother who is often troubled by Maruko's crazy behavior, a serious and somewhat serious sister, a kind grandmother, and a grandfather who loves Maruko the most and often daydreams with Maruko. In Maruko's class, there are also a group of classmates with distinct personalities: the rich son Hanawa, Maruko's best friend Xiaoyu, the slightly gloomy Fujiki, the funny Hamasaki, and Zhutaro who always says "pooh" before speaking.
