CATDOLL: Japan invented a "heartbeat sensor" that can test whether you are a otaku

At the "Japan High-Tech Expo 2015" currently being held, Rohm Corporation, one of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers, exhibited a "heartbeat sensor" that can detect whether you are more attracted to confessions from two-dimensional women or three-dimensional women. In other words, it can test whether you are a real otaku.

The "heartbeat sensor" uses a photoelectric sensor to detect the participant's vasoconstriction, and then the system calculates the participant's "heartbeat index". The participant first holds a love letter-shaped device, stands in front of an electronic screen to accept the confession of a two-dimensional woman, and then stands in front of a window to accept the confession of a three-dimensional woman. Finally, the system will calculate which woman's confession the participant is more heart-moving, and the participant can also take commemorative photos. There are also male characters in the event who confess to female participants, giving the otaku girls a chance to test whether they like the two-dimensional or three-dimensional world more.

This idea was originally a lie that Rohm posted on its official Facebook page on April Fools' Day, April 1 this year. However, because netizens were very interested in this topic, Rohm decided to work with TECHMAC to make this lie a reality.
