CATDOLL: Japanese astronauts break the misunderstanding that the feet of space robots are not just decorations

"Feet are just decorations, the big guys above won't understand!" This sentence is familiar to many Gundam fans. It comes from a sentence between Char and the development director on the eve of the final battle of the Battle of A-Baku-Ku in Mobile Suit Gundam 0079. This seemingly reasonable sentence was recently put to rest by a Japanese astronaut.

The astronaut, Kamemi Yui, wrote on Twitter: "Have you ever heard of the sci-fi topic 'Do space robots need legs?'? From my point of view, legs are very important parts. As long as the limbs can be flexibly controlled, a lot of thruster fuel can be reduced. There are actually quite a lot of new things I learned after coming to space."

Although the above tweet did not specify what science fiction work it was, the only robot that can make people think of used in space is Gundam.
