CATDOLL: Spider-Man will be made into an animated feature film to be released in the summer of 2018

Yesterday, Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures, announced at the annual film festival CinemaCon that Sony will release a Spider-Man animated feature film, which is currently scheduled to be released on July 20, 2018. It is reported that the animated version of Spider-Man will be produced by Chris Miller and Phil Lord. This duo has successfully created The Lego Movie and Meatballs. They are also the driving force behind the popular American TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the comedy film series Young Boys. It is reported that Sony also hopes to let Lord and Miller serve as directors of the animated version of Spider-Man. Since the success of The Lego Movie, they have been busy with projects, and it is still unknown whether they can finally be confirmed to take the helm. |
