Recently, the third chapter of the animated theatrical version of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Akito the Fallen, "The Glory Falls from the Sky", which will be officially released in Japan on May 2, was screened in advance in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. The official REPO of the Tokyo venue has been released. The story of "Akito the Lost Country" takes place between the first and second seasons of the TV animation "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion". There are 4 episodes in total. It is set on the third-party EU European front and tells the story of the EU pilot Hinata Eito's battle. Chapter 1 was released in August 2012, and Chapter 2 was released in September 2013. Chapter 3 has attracted much attention because of the appearance of Julius, who looks like Code Geass. Chapter 4 is scheduled to be released in July 2015. On the day of the screening, Irino Miyuu, who played Hinata Eito, Matsukaze Masaya, who played the role of the real Hinata Natsuge, director Akane Kazuki, and producer Kawaguchi Yoshinori all came on stage to meet the audience. At the beginning of the event, Matsukaze introduced himself and joked with the audience: "Hello, everyone. I am Maaya Sakamoto who plays Leila Marukal." Irino Miyu even joked: "Hey, hey." Amid the warm applause of the audience, producer Kawaguchi first explained the reason for the delay in production and apologized: "After the release of Chapter 2, we promised to make Chapter 3 right away, but we made everyone wait for so long. I'm really sorry. In order to usher in the final climax in a better form, it must take longer to produce." Regarding the upcoming third chapter, Irino said, "Compared to the first two parts, the third chapter has fewer battle scenes, which may seem boring, but the relationships between the characters and the inner thoughts of Eito and Makoto are carefully portrayed. In this sense, this chapter plays a crucial role in welcoming the climax." Matsukaze said, "Especially the parts related to Julius and Suzaku are very valuable to act out." On the other hand, Director Akane said, "Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 mainly introduce the world view of the work, while Chapter 3 will dig deeper into the characters. However, Eito is a person who does not speak his true feelings, so he can only express himself through the people around him. Therefore, I hope that everyone can imagine Eito's feelings through the changes in the expressions of Ryu, Yukiya, Ayano, and Leila around Eito." The most noteworthy scene is: "When Eito and his group said goodbye to the old woman and returned on the transport plane, Eito said to Leila, 'I would like to go to Japan with you all if I have the chance,' and then he smiled. This expression is so great." Eito has never smiled before. This is the first time he has smiled, and fans must not miss it. When talking about the bonus audio included in the disc version of Chapter 3, Matsukaze said, "Do you hate me? You didn't call me in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, and you called me for the first time in Chapter 3." As a result, Irino said, "Maaya seems to hate you a little (laughs)." Then he continued to reveal, "When Mayaya and I were alone, she said that you were very suitable for that role. I asked why. She said it was because you always spoke with a sly grin. This sentence left a deep impression on me." Matsukaze replied, "Sly grin is not a word used to praise someone (laughs)." The whole venue burst into laughter. |
