CATDOLL: Kenichi Matsuyama will play the leading role in the TV adaptation of "The Frog"

Japanese actor Kenichi Matsuyama, who is widely known to domestic audiences for his role as L in the live-action version of "Death Note", will play the protagonist Hiroshi in the live-action series adapted from the Japanese national manga "Dogensei Gaeru" after not appearing in a TV series for six consecutive years.

"The Frog" is a popular manga from the 1970s. It tells the story of a male protagonist who accidentally squashes a frog, but the frog runs onto his T-shirt and the two become partners. The live-action version will be set in 16 years when the male protagonist turns 30, and new technology will be used to make the "jumping frog" on the protagonist's chest move. It will be broadcast every Saturday at 9 pm in July.
