CATDOLL: The stage play version of "Ghost in the Shell ARISE" will be staged at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater in November

The animated film "Ghost in the Shell ARISE" based on the classic manga by Shiro Masamune has been adapted into a stage play! The stage play will be performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater PLAY HOUSE from November 5th to 15th.

Now the main production line-up of the stage play version of "Ghost in the Shell ARISE" has been announced. Okikata Cho will be the supervisor, Oku Hidetaro from the stage play "BLOOD-C ~The LAST MIND~" will be in charge of the performance, and Junichi Fujisaki from the animation "Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX" will write the script. However, the cast that fans are most concerned about has not yet been announced. Who will play the 9th Section members such as Kusanagi Motoko? Please stay tuned for follow-up reports.

In addition, unlike other stage plays, this work cannot be sold on DVD or broadcast because it uses special video performances during the performance. Fans who want to watch this work can only go to the theater in person. This is a pity for domestic fans.

The original work of "Ghost in the Shell" is a science fiction manga published by Shirow Masamune in 1989. It was later adapted into movies, TV animations, OVAs, etc., and has many fans all over the world. The four-part theatrical animation "Ghost in the Shell ARISE" released in Japan from 2013 to 2014 tells the story before the establishment of the Ghost in the Shell. Later, the work was renamed "Ghost in the Shell ARISE ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE" and started broadcasting as a TV animation in April. In addition, the latest work of the "Ghost in the Shell" series, "Ghost in the Shell: New Movie", will be released in Japan on June 20.
