CATDOLL: The new animation of "Magic Circle Guru Guru" is a remake with no new plot

The TV animation "Magic Circle Guru Guru", which can be called a childhood classic, announced that it will launch a new animation. Many anime fans thought that this work would have a brand new plot. However, according to the official news released recently, the animation launched this time is not a sequel to the previous one, but an animation that tells the story from the encounter between Nick and Kokori in the first chapter of the first volume of the original work. In other words, the work that was animated again after 17 years is a remake from scratch.

"Magic Circle Guru Guru" is a comic book about magic adventure created by Hiroyuki Eto. The plot is mostly based on video games. The story tells that the demon king Giri, who was sealed 300 years ago, has resurrected again. The protagonists Nick and Kokorisu work together to seal Giri again. Along the way, the two pass through different villages, meet different people, and improve their levels through practice. The TV animation adapted from this work aired the first season in 1994, with a total of 45 episodes; the second season was aired in 2000, with a total of 38 episodes.
