CATDOLL: KFC launches comic book "The Adventures of Colonel Sanders"

Today we are going to talk about KFC; er, not the KFC we eat, but the comics it published! Yes, it is the comics published by KFC: The Adventures of Colonel Sanders

Everyone is familiar with the white-haired Grandpa in a white suit on the KFC logo, but he has a formal name, can you call it out? This white-haired grandpa is called "Colonel Sanders", the founder of KFC. Perhaps because comic heroes are popular recently, in order to carve out a bloody path in the fast food market, KFC has launched "The Adventures of Colonel Sanders" for Grandpa Kentucky. Dozens of pages of content are all open on the official website, but this year's audience attending the San Diego Comic-Con can get a physical printed copy.

KFC launches "The Adventures of Colonel Sanders"

The comic begins with Colonel Sanders' life story

I thought that Grandpa Sanders wanted to be a superhero, but I didn't expect that the content was actually his autobiography. But Colonel Sanders' life was also full of early American legends.

Harland Sanders was born in 1890. He had a rough childhood. A strong tornado hit his hometown that year, and his father died when he was 5. When he was 7, he had to cook for his younger siblings because his mother went out to work.

At the age of 13, he didn't like his mother's remarried husband, so he ran away from home and helped to bundle wheat for a living. Later, he lied about his age to join the army. At the age of 19, he got married and worked on the railway in the South.

However, it was difficult to find a job at that time. Harland Sanders worked in all kinds of jobs, most of which were when he was broke. He obtained a law degree by correspondence (wait, is this jumping too fast?), but was disbarred because of a fight with his client...

In 1916, Harland Sanders moved his family back to Indiana, started selling insurance and opened an Ohio River ferry company, which made him a lot of money, but he sold his shares in the company, invested in electric lights, and finally sold tires in Kentucky.

One morning he was driving out, and when he was crossing a bridge, it collapsed! Harland Sanders was seriously injured, but he still managed to deliver his tires on time.

In 1929, the Great Depression occurred and the stock market crashed. In 1933, he moved to another city and opened a gas station, where he provided food to travelers. He was also responsible for repairing tires. What's more exaggerated is that there were not so many doctors in the area, so if someone was about to give birth, he would volunteer to help deliver the baby!

In order to attract more customers, he put a big sign near the gas station, but this sign also attracted some enemies who disliked him.

So one day, when he and his friend went to repair the sign, someone shot at them! Harland Sanders fired back, wounding the gunman, but he was arrested, and his friend died of the gunshot wound.

Then TBC...

It seems that the follow-up will be released on the official website later.
