According to the latest report from Japanese media, Japanese playwright Okikata Tsuyoshi, who wrote the scripts for Ghost in the Shell ARISE and Fafner in the Sky, was arrested by the police for suspected domestic violence against his wife. According to the police, on August 21, the police received a report from Okikata Tsuyoshi's wife, saying that she was beaten in the mouth and her chin was injured.

Okikata Cho is a Japanese light novel writer, science fiction writer, game maker, comics original author, and animation producer. His works not only span various media, but also have a wide range of themes, including SF, period novels, and fantasy novels. His work "The Girl in the Shell" (マルドゥック・スクランブル) won the Japan SF Grand Prize, and his 2009 book "Tenchi Meisaku" won the Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Newcomer Award, the Bookstore Award, and was selected as a nominee for the 143rd Naoki Prize.
