CATDOLL: The Japanese comic adaptation "Midnight Diner" won the "Korean Popular Foreign TV Drama Award"

Adapted from the popular manga by Japanese cartoonist Abe Yaro, the live-action TV series "Midnight Diner" has been well received by the audience since its broadcast. The work has spread overseas and has been highly praised by audiences in various countries. At the recently held "10th Seoul International Television Festival", "Midnight Diner" Season 3 won the "Most Popular Foreign TV Series of the Year" award.

"Midnight Diner" consists of many heartwarming stories, which are slowly unfolded through the canteen owner played by Kobayashi Kaoru, and with the food that appears in each episode, a series of stories full of human touch are told. There are sorrows and joys, which coincide with the sweetness and bitterness of the food. The taste of life is all in this canteen.

The Seoul International TV Festival was founded in 2006, and this year is the 10th. The Most Popular Foreign TV Drama of the Year Award was founded in 2009. Previous winners of this award include CBS's Crime Scene Investigation and BBC's Sherlock. Midnight Diner is the second Asian work to win this honor after China's Startling by Each Step, and it is also the first Japanese work to win the award.
