CATDOLL: "Rurouni Kenshin" stage play releases live stills, original new rival appears

The stage play adapted from the popular manga "Rurouni Kenshin" will be presented by the Takarazuka Revue Snow Group. Recently, the cast list of the work was announced. It is reported that the protagonist Kenshin will be played by "Hayagi Seina"; and in this stage play, the original character "Kana Sozaburo" played by Fudo Momokai will be added, and the character will appear as Kenshin's rival in love. It is reported that the play will be performed at the Hyogo Takarazuka Theater on February 5, 2016, and at the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater on April 1. The script and performance are in charge of the famous performance artist Shuichiro Koike.

The character of Himura Kenshin in Rurouni Kenshin (Japanese: るろうに剣心) is based on the famous slayer Kawagami Hikosai during the late Edo period of Japan. This manga was serialized in the Japanese Shonen Jump Weekly from 1994 to 1999. The manga was written by Nobuhiro Watsuki and there are 28 volumes in total. As of the end of 2012, the manga has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide, including more than 58 million copies in Japan. It was adapted into a TV animation with a total of 95 episodes, but only episodes 1 to 94 were broadcast, and episode 95 (the secret episode) was not broadcast on TV.
