CATDOLL: Three Japanese animations to be nominated for the 2016 Oscars

The Oscars are a prestigious award in the film and television entertainment industry. There has always been a theory that commercial films will not be the most popular, so it is easier to attract a lot of fans to discuss and debate about it. However, the Oscars also include animation. According to the official news recently, three animation works from Japan will be shortlisted for the Oscar for the Animated Feature Film Award next year.

The three works are "Child of the Beast" directed by Mamoru Hosoda, "When Marnie Was There" directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, and "The Secret of UFO Academy" directed by Isao Ikake. The official list of candidates has not yet been officially announced. The official announcement date will be January 14, 2016, and the final winner will be announced on February 28.
