CATDOLL: Kitano Takeshi will play the section chief in the live-action movie "Ghost in the Shell"

The Japanese manga "Ghost in the Shell" created by Shirow Masamune has announced that Hollywood will film a new live-action movie. This series has been adapted to the screen many times in the form of animation. The first animated film was directed by Mamoru Oshii in 1995. The live-action adaptation has confirmed that Scarlett Johansson will play the heroine Kusanagi Motoko. Today, the official list of a leading actor was released again. The famous Japanese director and actor Takeshi Kitano has confirmed that he will participate in the live-action movie of "Ghost in the Shell". He will play the role of Daisuke Aramaki.

Daisuke Aramaki is the head of Public Security Section 9 in Ghost in the Shell, and is responsible for commanding various missions. Aramaki is a smart guy who has enough intelligence to command unique people like Bart and Kusanagi. He is also a Machiavellian who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty in pursuit of a position, and his complex personality makes it difficult to know what he is thinking.

Ghost in the Shell tells the story of a technologically advanced Japan after World War IV. With the rapid development of communication network technology and human electronic mechanization technology, computer crimes are becoming more rampant and complex. In response to this situation, the government has established a special force, Public Security Section 9, led by Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg, to combat criminal activities. Scarlett Johansson will play the role of female police officer Motoko Kusanagi in the film.

The film will be directed by Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman, and will start shooting in New Zealand early next year. It is currently scheduled to be released on March 31, 2017.
