CATDOLL: The unknown prequel story of the novel "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" is released

The new April anime "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" has been widely watched since its launch. In addition to the animation, related projects such as novels and comics are also underway. Recently, the "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" spin-off novel was officially released, revealing more secrets.

The spin-off novel of "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" will be released in three parts, named "Akatsuki", "Part 1", and "Part 2", written by Miwa Kiyomune and Kasaoka Junpei, and priced at 1,300 yen. The novel explains the background and setting of the plot in detail, introduces the stories of the main characters in the play before the Kabane's surging attack, and exposes many unknown secrets.

Judging from the "Akatsuki" chapter that has been released, this volume focuses on the process of the protagonist Ikoma and his good friend Chengsheng developing weapons. After many failures, Ikoma finally obtained the magic weapon to win the battle against Kabane. At the same time, the novel also specifically tells the daily life of the guards Kurusu, Kibitsuchi and the eldest lady Ayame before the attack of Kabane. The illustration of Kurusu heroically saving Ayame is particularly handsome.
