CATDOLL: The sequel to the Death Note movie launches an original Japanese drama that tells the story of the three protagonists and the black book

The highly anticipated sequel to the live-action Death Note, Death Note: Light up the NEW world, has officially announced that it will release an original TV series Death Note: NEW GENERATION before the movie airs. This TV series will tell the story of the lives of Mishima Hajime, Ryuuzaki, and Shion Yuuki, and how they got the Death Note or became involved with it.

This original TV series is divided into three episodes, which should be to warm up for the movie. The three episodes are "Rebirth", "Legacy" and "Fanatical Belief". The first episode tells how Mishima Hajime, played by Higashide Masada, became an elite of the Death Note Countermeasures Headquarters. The second episode tells how Ryusaki, played by Ikematsu Sosuke, inherited L's legacy and participated in the Death Note search because of certain things and solved the doubts about L. The third episode reveals the psychological trauma of Shion, played by Masaki Suda, a cyber terrorist in the past, and how he decided to become the successor of Yue.

In addition to the three main actors, Kawaei Rina, who plays Aoi Sakura in the movie, and the god of death Ryuk will also appear. New actors Nakamura Tomoya and Aijima Kazuyuki will also appear in the TV series. The live-action sequel to "Death Note" is supervised by Obata Takeshi, the author of the manga "Death Note". It tells the story of the new battle for the six notebooks, which will be fought head-on by their successors and police investigators 10 years after the duel between Yue and L. The film will be released in Japan on October 29.
