CATDOLL: "Re:Zero -Starting Book" first revealed PV to be broadcast in April 2017

The first PV of "Grimoire of Re:Zero" is released. It is a light novel written by Torazo Sho and illustrated by Shizuma Yoshiki, published and distributed by Dengeki Bunko. The story takes place in a fictional medieval background and tells the conflict between humans and witches.

The witch, Zero, set out on a journey alone to find her companion who left the cave long ago to explore the lost magic book. On the way, Zero met a beast mercenary who was attacked by a witch. The mercenary mistook Zero for an ordinary human and took him away. In a hurry, he used magic to trap the witch. The mercenary realized that Zero in front of him was also one of the witches. In order to get away from her as soon as possible, he ran away without saying a word, but was still found by Zero. After some inquiries, the mercenary found that Zero was not alone, so he agreed to Zero's request for him to serve as a guard, and asked Zero to turn him back into a human after the matter was completed.

The two men who had reached a temporary cooperation headed for the capital, and on the way they met the witch who attacked them before again - Albas. After the fight, Zero easily subdued her. During the conversation, Zero heard from Albas about his lost magic book, and decided to let her go with him to the Zero Magicians to find the "sir" he mentioned. However, the village where the magicians were staying was attacked, and the group was forcibly taken to the capital by the magic of No. 13.
