The reason is directly related to the box office failure of "Kuiba 3" which was just released during the National Day holiday, and the fact that this domestic animation, which is a benchmark in the animation industry, has never been able to break the "ice" of the Chinese adult animation audience market. The person in charge of the film company expressed regret: "It is really sad to stop the "Kuiba" movie indefinitely. Maybe the audience will never see the growth of "Manji" on the screen again, but the situation in the Chinese film market where only low-level domestic animation can make money is something we can no longer bear!"

The Kuiba series of animations has been widely watched since its release, but the box office of the Kuiba series has not been ideal. Today, the producer of the Kuiba series of animations, Beijing Qingqingshu Animation Technology Co., Ltd., issued a statement saying that the animated film Kuiba 4 will be postponed indefinitely, and the currently released Kuiba III: Rise of the God of War may become the last movie in the Kuiba series.

In what has been called "the most intense National Day period in history", there were as many as nine animated films released in the same period as "Qiba III: Rise of the God of War". However, due to the domestic animation market and the general audience's inherent "childish" impression of domestic animation, according to domestic movie box office statistics analysis, the 3D animated film "Qiba 3" released on October 1st has not yet achieved revenue that can make up for the production costs.

Faced with the cold reception of "Kuiba III: Rise of the Gods" during the National Day holiday, Wu Hanqing, CEO of Qingqingshu Animation, the producer of the "Kuiba" series of films, told reporters that they were actually prepared for this market situation. They have reached a cooperation with Hollywood to make "Kuiba" into a live-action CG movie similar to "The Lord of the Rings" to make it easier for Chinese audiences to accept. The fourth part of the originally planned "Kuiba" pentalogy, "Kuiba: The Falling Plum", will also be suspended and postponed indefinitely. "This shows that the domestic film market does not accept animation products like "Kuiba" that are aimed at adult audiences.
