CATDOLL: Japanese cartoonist Katsuhiro Otomo won the "Angoulême International Comics Festival" Best Award

Japanese manga artist Katsuhiro Otomo won the Grand Prix at the French "Angoulême International Comics Festival" which started on January 29. The "Angoulême International Comics Festival" is an international comics exhibition held every year in Angoulême, France, and is also the largest comics festival in Europe. The Grand Prix that Katsuhiro Otomo won this time is also the first time that a Japanese manga artist has won the Grand Prix at the festival.

In addition to Katsuhiro Otomo, the popular manga "The Seven Deadly Sins" drawn by Suzuki Yoshio won the Audience Choice Award for young readers. In addition, "Captain Harlock" by Leiji Matsumoto and "SEX & FURY" by Tentaro Fan were selected as "works that should be preserved in the world."
