The TV animation "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" is adapted from the manga of the same name written by Yuto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. It is produced by JCSTAFF and will premiere on April 3, 2015.

The story describes a middle school student named Soma Yukihira whose family runs a restaurant called "Yukihira Hotel". He always aims to be like his father, a chef, and constantly hone his cooking skills. His father suddenly decided to enroll him in the culinary school Totsuki Gakuen. When Soma arrives there, he not only meets the heroine Erina Nakiri, who has the "God's Tongue", but also steals the show at the entrance ceremony. Soma will have to overcome a series of tough exams while also competing with every good opponent in the cooking field...
