CATDOLL: Crowdfunding for the comic-adapted live-action movie "Dragon Emperor" begins, with many cartoonists joining in

It seems that it is very popular in Japan to raise funds online for various projects. For example, the previous animated film "In This Corner of the World" raised the required funds in a very short time, which enabled the project to proceed smoothly. Of course, there is also the failed case of "EVA" raising funds to shoot the moon.... Now there is another live-action film project adapted from a comic called "Dragon Emperor" that also chooses this method to raise funds. The film adaptation plan of the comic "Dragon Emperor" serialized in "Manga SUNDAY" is underway. Recently, the crowdfunding of this work has started on Nextwaves, and original peripherals, preview receptions, etc. have been prepared to reward the funders.

The manga "DRAGON EMPEROR" is an action work written by Tsuyoshi Ichihara and illustrated by Naoki Konno. The work is set in modern Kabukicho, Shinjuku, and tells the story of the mysterious "Dragon Emperor" at the top of the dark society. This time, the film adaptation will be directed by the author Tsuyoshi Ichihara himself. In terms of actors, this work has many cartoonists to support and serve as guest actors. Shin Hiramatsu (Hound Cop), Toru Fujisawa (GTO), Koji Makira (Sun Death God) and others will participate. In addition to cartoonists, this work also has actors such as Kenji Ohba and Fumi Toyo.

The target amount of this crowdfunding is 2.5 million yen, and the deadline is May 31, 2015. The maximum donation amount is 50,000 yen each time, and 39,200 yen has been raised so far.
