Yesterday we reported that the bullet-screen website Acfun was once again in crisis after being sued by Youku for copyright infringement, and several of its former senior executives were reportedly detained. Later, another Weibo user broke the news that the bullet-screen website Acfun, which was sued by Youku Tudou for copyright infringement, is now facing huge compensation, and Acfun employees have resigned one after another. A former Acfun employee revealed: "Except for a few people who were forced to stay because of the handover agreement, almost all of the original Acfun technical team has resigned. That's right. The editorial team is in the same situation. I know this ending is really a tragedy. Before this, I sincerely hoped that the Beijing team could continue smoothly. Now I really can't stand it anymore." Today, another Weibo user pointed out that the settlement proposal proposed by Youku Tudou is that Acfun will use equity and 18 million in cash as compensation, of which Acfun will pay 15 million in cash. However, Youku Tudou has not yet commented on this matter. Acfun (also known as A Station) is the earliest video bullet screen website in China, and together with the bullet screen website bilibili, they are collectively called AB Station. It is worth noting that there have been many news reports of bullet screen websites being sued recently. In December last year, B Station was sued by Beijing iQiyi, Beijing Qiyi, Guangzhou Douyu Network Technology, Huashiwangju and other companies, and the cause of the lawsuit was "infringement of the right to disseminate information on the Internet". As of press time, no one on the Acfun website responded to this matter. |
