At the Tokushima Anime Festival on October 12, director Hideo Aoki of ALDNOAH ZERO revealed some information about the second season, which will be aired in January next year. The highlight is that Princess Eslam is not dead!

First of all, Aoki Hide gave a positive answer to the question of whether Princess Esel-Iram survived, and revealed that the princess will face a major choice in the second season. In addition, the scene of the princess holding a gun at the end of the first season theme song will not appear in the main film, but there will be a "same feeling" clip in the play. The reason why Slaine shot Inaho was not jealousy or loyalty, and there were clues hinting at this reason in the first season. Regarding the mole on Captain Darzana's face, the director said that it was just an ink mark left when the fax machine sent the character design drawing, and it was mistaken for a mole... And the subordinate following Slaine in the recently released second season visual is called Hakulet, and will be played by Daisuke Hirakawa, who once voiced Ryuzaki Rei in "Free!"

"ALDNOAH ZERO" is an original animation directed by Aoki Hide, written in part by Gen Urobuchi, and composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. The first season of the animation aired in July 2014, with a total of 12 episodes. The second season is scheduled to air in January 2015.
