CATDOLL: Judo master Fujiwara Tatsuya joins "Pokemon XY Theatrical Edition: Ultra Demon Huba of the Light Cycle"

"Pokémon XY The Movie: Huba of the Ultraman" is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 18, and four new voice actors have been announced recently. Actor Tatsuya Fujiwara and judoka Shinichi Shinohara will both make cameo appearances. In addition, Koichi Yamadera and Shoko Nakagawa, who often appear in the "Pokémon" theatrical animation, will continue to participate this time.

"Pokémon XY The Movie: Ultra Demonic Huba of Nimbus" tells the story of Ash and his friends who meet the naughty Pokémon Huba who loves donuts at the desert Pokémon Center. This is the 18th theatrical animation of the "Pokémon" series, and is still directed by Kunihiko Yuyama.

Fujiwara Ryuya plays the young man Balza who lives with Huba. Yamadera Koichi plays Huba's true form after transformation, "Super Huba". Nakagawa Shoko plays Balza's sister Mealie. Shinichi Shinohara, who voices an animation for the first time, plays a key Pokémon in this work, Hipopotasu.

Fujiwara Tatsuya, who has not voiced for an animation in five years since Studio Ghibli's "The Borrowers Arrietty," said, "It is an honor to be able to voice such a long-running and popular work, but on the other hand, I am also worried about whether I am capable of acting, so I once confirmed with the production team. I will try my best to play Balzac in a way that lives up to the expectations of "Pokemon" fans and does not destroy the world view of the work."

The Ultra Huba played by Yamadera Koichi is Huba's true form, but it has been sealed by someone. Yamadera Koichi said, "I have played many humans and Pokémon before, but this time I am playing an important Pokémon with great power. Although I play it every year, this time I want to return to my original intention and perform with a fresh feeling. I am looking forward to working with Rie Kugimiya who plays the sealed Huba." Huba, who meets Satoshi and travels with him in the play, is played by Rie Kugimiya.

Nakagawa Shoko said about her role as Mei Ali: "Among the 9 works I have appeared in the past, she is very difficult. I spent a long time with Pokémon, laughing together, being surprised together, excited and moved together, crying and screaming together, and I will release all my emotions."

Shinichi Shinohara said, "My first feeling was 'Why did you choose me?' (laughs). I never thought I would be able to appear in the animation of "Pokemon". I can show it off to my children. As a man who only knows judo, I will challenge myself to be a voice actor this time with the determination of a man who is like a man who is good at making children all over the country smile."
