After graduating from Tokyo University of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, he joined the Japanese theater troupe "Bungakuza". Later, in 1963, he devoted himself to the establishment of "Gekidan Yun" and joined "Gekidan Kou" in 1976. His life was centered on stage performance. As a voice actor, he voiced Shrike in the early animation "Moomin" (1969, 1972).
