CATDOLL: Japanese actor and voice actor Hiroyuki Nishimoto passed away due to illness

According to the latest news from the Japanese Sankei Shimbun, Japanese actor and voice actor Hiroyuki Nishimoto died of illness on the 19th of this month at the age of 88. The funeral and farewell ceremony will be held at 10 am on April 27. Hiroyuki Nishimoto was born on January 3, 1927. After graduating from Tokyo University of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, he joined the Japanese theater troupe "Bungakuza". Later, in 1963, he devoted himself to the establishment of "Gekidan Yun" and joined "Gekidan Kou" in 1976. His life was centered on stage performance.

As a voice actor, he voiced Shrike in the early animation "Moomin" (1969, 1972). He also participated in the dubbing of several Disney animations, such as the voice of the Hatter in "Alice in Wonderland".
