CATDOLL: Europe's most expensive animated film "A Bug's Life" won the Golden Monkey Award for Animation

On the evening of April 28, the winners of the 11th China Animation "Golden Monkey Award" were finally announced in Hangzhou. The organizing committee of this year's "Golden Monkey Award" received a total of 1,007 works from 33 countries and regions. After preliminary and final review, the 3D animated film "A Bug's Life" produced by the French company Futurikon and introduced and distributed by Beijing Tianshengzhidao Culture and Art Co., Ltd. won the "Comprehensive Animation Film Award" of the "Golden Monkey Award". Prior to this, the director of the film revealed at the Beijing International Film Festival that "A Bug's Life" will launch a series of films and hopes to be filmed in China.

The animated film "A Bug's Life" is made of 3D real-life shooting + 3D animation. The entire creation took five years and cost 20 million euros. It is the most expensive animated film in Europe's history. The biggest highlight of the film is that there is no dialogue in the whole film, only background sound and insect chirping. The film relies on the pictures and the facial expressions of insects to show the plot, which is very similar to "silent" movies. The film topped the box office when it was released in France, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic and other countries, and was hailed as the insect version of "The Lord of the Rings". In August 2014, the film was introduced to mainland China for screening and won an excellent box office reputation.
