CATDOLL: The OP of the new July anime "Ranpo Kitan" is confirmed to be sung by amazarashi

The OP of the TV animation "Ranpo Kitan Game of Laplace" which will be broadcast from July 2015 has recently been confirmed to be sung by the Japanese rock band "amazarashi" which also sang the ED for "Tokyo Ghoul".

The new single "Friction with Speed" by the Japanese rock band "amazarashi" is scheduled to be released on August 19 this year. The title song will be the opening theme song of the animation "Ranpo Kitan Game of Laplace" to be broadcast on Fuji TV's "noitaminA" program in July this year. This animation is produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of mystery writer Edogawa Ranpo. It is an original work to pay tribute to Ranpo's famous works such as "Human Chair", "Shadow Man", "Twenty Faces of the Strange Man", and "Bano-Rama Island Tales".

Hiroshi Akita, the lead singer and guitarist of "amazarashi", said about this collaboration: "It is a great honor to have our songs selected when Edogawa Ranpo's work is revived in the form of animation." When describing this new song, he said that it will be a song that is born at the speed of a split second, in the sparks of both conflict and friction.
