CATDOLL: Fujisawa Toru's "GTO Lost Paradise" is on hiatus and will resume serialization in winter

The latest work in the GTO series, GTO Lost Paradise, will be temporarily absent from readers starting with the 29th issue of Weekly YOUNG MAGAZINE (Kodansha) released on the 15th, but it is scheduled to return this winter. This news was officially announced in the 28th issue of Weekly YOUNG MAGAZINE released today (June 8).

"GTO" tells the story of a former bad boy named Onizuka Eikichi who becomes a teacher and uses his own unique way to help students solve various problems during puberty and become an alternative good teacher. This work has been adapted into a Japanese drama twice, the old version starred by Sorimachi Takashi and the new version starred by "EXILE" AKIRA, and it is very popular.

The earliest "GTO" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) from 1996 to 2002, and the sequel "GTO Shonan 14th" was released from 2009 to 2011. In addition, there are the spin-offs "GT-R" with Onitsuka's friend Danma Ryuji as the protagonist and "Inokashira's Gargoyle" with Onitsuka's bad friend Saejima as the protagonist. It is a large series that Fujisawa Toru has been working on tirelessly.

The latest work in the series, "GTO Lost Paradise", began serialization in April 2014, telling the story two years after the end of "GTO".
