Due to insufficient rainfall, Thailand was hit by drought in 2015. Recently, a rain-praying ceremony was held in a village in Phrae Province in northern Thailand. During the ceremony, cats in cages were carried like a portable shrine, singing and dancing as they slowly moved forward. The villagers sprinkled water on the cats while praying for rain.
