CATDOLL: April's new animation "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" adds voice actors such as Seto Asami

The April new anime "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" is currently on air and has received rave reviews. As a half-yearly anime, the series recently added a list of voice actors for new characters. "Miyoko Hojo", the daughter of the chef of Hojo-ro, a famous Chinese restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown that has been open for fifty years, is played by Asami Seto, who has portrayed such characters as Yoshino Takatsuki in "Wandering Boys", Natsu Miyamoto in "TARI TARI", Shoko Nana in "Valvrave", Chihaya Ayase in "Chihayafuru", and Akira Mado in "Tokyo Ghoul"; "Nao Sadatsuka", the witch in front of the boiler, is played by Saori Goto, who has played such characters as Hudie Kikusaka in "Taisho Baseball Girls", Chitose Karasuma in "Galactic Angels", and Yayoi Asuka in "Love Seven"; "Ryo Hayama", the curry cooking expert with a very sensitive sense of smell, is played by Junichi Suwabe, who has played such characters as Takashi Komuro in "High School of the Dead", Keigo Atobe in "The Prince of Tennis", Archer in "Fate/stay night", Shizuji Ba in "Natsume's Book of Friends", and Funeral Home in "Black Butler".

"Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" is a comic book written by Yuto Tsukuda, illustrated by Shun Saeki, and co-written by culinary researcher Tomoki Morisaki, and serialized in Shueisha's comic magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump". The work is set in the famous culinary school "Totsuki Gakuen" in Tokyo, Japan. It is a culinary manga about the son of the owner of a set meal restaurant in a small town, "Soma Yukihira", who is the protagonist. The TV animation "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" was produced by JCSTAFF and aired on the "Animeism" program on MBS, TBS and other Japanese TV stations on April 3, 2015.
