The Gundam series has been around since 1979 and is still popular today. Similar series are still being created. In fact, in addition to the exciting plot, the most important thing about the Gundam series is the Gundam itself, with its various machine bodies and different settings. However, for such an avant-garde robot, the Japanese Ministry of the Environment is currently producing a new material called "Gundunim Alloy". This material comes from the high-strength alloy developed by the remnant Zeon army on the asteroid Axis in "Mobile Suit Gundam". Although this alloy has super hardness, its toughness is not very high, and it is easy to cause metal fatigue. It was not until the third generation of alloys, namely Gundam Alloy γ, that this problem was truly solved. In UC 0084, Char Aznable returned to the Earth Sphere with a sample of Gundam Alloy γ due to political differences and joined the Federation. Since then, Gundam Alloy has become the best choice for MS armor material. It is also the basic raw material for making Gundam armor. The Japanese Ministry of the Environment is experimenting with a next-generation material called "cellulose nanofiber". This material comes from plants, not metal. It is extracted from wood and straw fibers through special technology. According to NHK, this material is five times stronger than iron, but weighs only one-fifth of the same strength. The Japanese Ministry of the Environment has increased its budget for next year by 3.8 billion yen (nearly 200 million yuan) for the development of this new material. The Ministry of the Environment expects to use this material in automobile manufacturing, which can effectively reduce the corresponding fuel consumption by reducing weight, and at the same time increase the recycling rate of waste. If the Ministry of the Environment works harder, it may be able to make a plant fiber version of "Gundamium Alloy". So will there be a real Gundam in the future? It's still worth looking forward to! |
