The original work of "Himawara! Umaru-chan" is a manga serialized by Sankaku Head in Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha). It tells the daily stories of "Himawara" Umaru, who looks beautiful and perfect on the outside, but turns into a lazy homegirl who likes games and comics when she returns home, and her brother Taihei Doma, who is responsible for taking care of her. The total circulation of the single volume has exceeded 1.5 million copies.
