CATDOLL: Chinese trailer of "Minions" released, producer talks about the origin of Minions

"Minions" is about to be released, and today (August 26) a clip of an interview with producer Chris Meledandri was released. There is also a Chinese version of the final trailer.

The animated film "Minions" is a brand new story based on the popular Minions in the "Despicable Me" series. It tells the Minions' experiences before they met Gru and traces the origins of the Minions. Producer Chris said that the film will show three Minions with three-dimensional personalities and different personalities for the first time, and the question of "Where do Minions come from" that the audience is curious about will also be answered in the film.

Chinese interview with producer Chris Meledandri video:

As the producer of the "Despicable Me" film series, Chris said that to answer the question of "Where do the Minions come from", we have to start from ancient times. They are single-celled little guys and gradually grew into fully developed Minions. Their genes determine that their mission on this planet is to find villains to be their masters. They want to be bad guys, the worst people in the world, but in fact they are very kind at heart. Even if they want to do bad things for the villains, their kind hearts make them do very badly.

According to Chris, the story of "Minions" is set in 1969, when they had not yet met Gru in "Despicable Me". While looking for their master, the Minions heard about the worst and most unscrupulous female demon in history - Scarlett Johansson, so they became her followers and unfolded a series of stories.

In addition to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock voicing the female devil, Jon Hamm, who has won multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Awards for "Mad Men," also voiced the husband Herb in the film, and many other movie stars have joined the film. The movie "Minions" is jointly presented by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures and will be released in mainland China on September 13 in 3D and IMAX 3D formats.
